Requirements

  • ▸Python 3.10+
  • ▸TryHackMe account (free or premium)
  • ▸An API key — Anthropic, OpenAI, Groq, Gemini, or any OpenAI-compatible provider
  • ▸Linux machine or VM with pentesting tools

Install

pip install alienrecon

Verify the install:

alienrecon --version

Configure

Register free, then set your BYOK key to unlock all rooms:

alienrecon login
alienrecon config --api-key sk-ant-YOUR_KEY  # Anthropic

Works with Anthropic, OpenAI, Groq, Gemini, and any OpenAI-compatible provider.

Run Your First Room

alienrecon start lazyadmin

AlienRecon connects to your TryHackMe session, deploys the machine, and starts walking you through the room step by step. It runs real tools, explains the output, and teaches you to think like a pentester.
